Abandoned Love Sonnet #2

Vertical Divider


a boy and his bike. a dog and his boy. a dog running
beside the boy on his bike. they: cheating gravity
for a moment when paws leave their earthly foreground.
and we mean this in the most loving way. like

*

**

you saying something about serotonin boost &
I missed you dearly. and ending with something like
I don’t ever want to lose touch again. or

*the field lights on a little league park in july:
a straw bed at noon after sunday brunch. and
many other forms of unnoticed joy.

**after a while. coming to the realization of the
devastation of I hope you’ve been doing well.
