He has won the “Discovery”/The Nation Award, Poetry magazine’s Bess Hokin Prize, fellowships from the National Endowment of the Arts and the Maine Arts Commission, the Amy Lowell Traveling Scholarship, and Hobart (Australia) City Council Residency for an International Writer.
